Boireau, roi de la boxe - 1912

Country: France
Date: 22 November 1912
A pearl of early silent movie comedy. Boireau, angry about the rest of the world, wants to learn boxing. A boxing school proofs to be unnecessary - a natural talent makes his way without much lessons. The anarchistic humour of the short film shows literature nobel-prize winner Andre Gide as a weird guy, possessed by his wild fist, who kicks away whatever is coming under his eyes. Very funny, if you have kept a simple, straight humour... !
